Soap serial killer wants to bring ex-sports editor’s raunchy novel to TV

An actor who portrayed a soap opera serial killer says he wants to bring a former regional daily sports editor’s novel to film or TV.

Ex-Lancashire Telegrpah journalist Tony Flood has received praise from Brian Capron, who played murderer Richard Hillman in Coronation Street.

Tony wrote raunchy thriller Triple Tease, which follows sees heroine Katrina who takes revenge for an assault on her sister by challenging detective DCI Livermore to let her help him nail a serial killer by being the bait in a honey-trap.

She goes on a date with the main suspect and then there’s another murder as the plot reaches an “unexpected climax”.

Speaking at a launch event for the book, Mr Capron said: “Triple Tease is a riveting tale, brimful with thrilling twists and sensual sex.

“Compassionate copper DCI Livermore would be a great character to bring to life on screen, with me playing him of course.”

Tony added: “Triple Tease is mainly a thriller. I have not included the sex scenes just to titillate, they are very important to the story and the characters in it.

“In order to capture the true flavour of murder suspects who come into contact with lap dancers and the nightclub scene, or belong to a dating agency, it is necessary to describe some of the things they get up to.”

Tony has previously written celebrity book My Life With The Stars which tells anecdotes from his time as a working journalist in the national press – including meetings with Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Joan Collins, Britt Ekland and George Best.

I was told Tony worked in Lancs and Slough as a sports reporter and now helps old people write books and poems in Eastbourne.
