A regional publisher’s print plant has retained external accreditation for four aspects of its operations.
Archant’s print centre in Norwich has won International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditation in the fields of quality, environmental, health and safety and energy management.
To achieve accreditation a company must satisfy an external auditor it has a comprehensive business management system in place that covers all the requirements.
The accreditation comes after the plant celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.
Director Clive Want said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole team at Thorpe who work so hard to ensure these accreditations are not just a tick box exercise but that they are embedded in our everyday working life.
“This year was particularly challenging as the ISO auditor was himself being audited so we knew no stone would go unturned and we had to be at the top of our game.
“It was pleasing to hear that this lead auditor was also extremely impressed with our standards and work ethic.”
Interesting to see there’s no obligation for actually producing their own papers and I hear they’re desperate to get outside print work contracts as they clearly know there’ll be none of their own papers to print soon enough
