01Susan_Windram01LSA Scottish weekly publisher has made a series of new appointments to its editorial team.

Wyvex Media, which publishes the Oban Times, has appointed a new deputy editor for the title to assist Susan Windram, left, who took on the editor’s role last year.

Group operations director Keith McIntyre said the move will free-up Susan to play a “significant role” in the roll-out of the group’s digital strategy.

Martin, described by Keith as a “vastly experienced” journalist, is also a previous editor of the Galloway Gazette and Carrick Gazette.

Before that he had a long career at Glasgow daily The Herald where he became chief sub-editor.

Said Keith: “These appointment further demonstrate the company’s continued commitment to quality local journalism whether in print or online.”
