Newspapers can sometimes be accused of losing all sense of proportion in what they write, but what about the subjects of  their photographs?

One might have to look twice at the above Birmingham Post page before realising it contained two separate pictures, rather than one split by a headline featuring three people whose limbs didn’t quite match up to the rest of their body.

The quirk, found in last week’s edition, was posted on Twitter by the paper’s acting executive editor Graeme Brown who nominated it as one of his favourite-ever pages.
