A rebranded city television channel is set to relaunch tonight following a buyout.
As reported last month, local network operator Made TV announced it was joining with members of the Bay TV management team to acquire 100pc of the Liverpool station.
News show Liverpool Today will be the first programme to air when the rebranded Made in Liverpool goes live at 6pm.
Nightly magazine show The Lowdown Liverpool will follow at 6.30pm, while other original programmes include weekly football show Across the Park, music show The Liverpool Sound and local history series Streets of Liverpool.
Jamie Conway, CEO of Made Television, says: “We’ve a fantastic schedule of new programming lined up.
“We’re really looking forward to launching and to capturing the fun, energy and action of the Liverpool region.”
Bay TV had been placed into administration before Made announced the prospective purchase.
The company also runs channels in Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds and Tyne & Wear under its ‘Made in’ brand.
I sincerely hope they’ve watched Mustard tv Archants embarrassing Norwich tv station, watched by so few but ridiculed for good reason by so many.
This kind of hyper local tv station makes no sense unless it’s run by professional staff with first class broadcast media backgrounds, not amateur wannabes or print journos desperate to get ‘on the telly’ albeit with no one watching.
It only really works too if the quality is good, the competitors are weak and they’re creating contents d programming people want to watch.
Brace yourself to look at Mustard tv and see how not to do it guys.

I didn’t even mention the £657,000 loss by Mustard tv in its first year alone, now that takes some doing by anyone’s standards.
