A new award for regional journalists serving the UK’s Asian communities has been announced.

The Asian Media Awards 2015 is now inviting entries for its new regional journalist of the year category, ahead of a ceremony to be held in October.

Other awards up for grabs include publication of the year, journalist of the year, best investigation, best website and outstanding young journalist.

The deadline for all nominations to the awards, now in their third year, is 4pm on Friday 28 August.

The final shortlist will be revealed in September ahead of the awards ceremony, to be held on Thursday 29 October at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
