Culture Secretary Sajid Javid will address regional political journalists at a lunch later this month.
Sajid Javid, pictured left, will talk at the lunch held by the Newspaper Conference, made up of London-based correspondents of regional press titles.
The event, to be held on 27 January, will be chaired by Archant Anglia’s political editor Annabelle Dickson.
In November Chancellor George Osborne spoke at the Conference’s annual dinner, during which he express the importance of a free press.
Does every regional press title have a London-based correspondent? I mean, what happens if the regional press title doesn’t have one… will they have the meeting via Skype and the lunch sent in a doggie bag? Won’t this be just a tad selective – only the wealthier titles voicing the issues?
