Friday Funnies: Typo sours sweet deal for daily’s readers

Dorset suger

A sweet offer for readers of the Dorset Echo was left somewhat soured after a typo on Tuesday’s front page offered them a “suger-free delight”.

Presumably the said delight was meant to be devoid of sugar, rather than any trace of Suger – a mediaeval French monk and pioneer of Gothic architecture.

Thank goodness it’s only the all-knowing management that do the front pages now, rather than the subbing hub ‘grunts’.

Was the body found in the crash chaos or is that a separate incident? Merged images/story could confuse some readers.
