A former weekly reporter has been appointed to edit a media and marketing magazine.

Stephen Lepitak, currently online editor of Glasgow-based print and online publication The Drum, is to succeed Gordon Young as editor.

Stephen began his career at Glasgow’s West End Mail in 2005, before moving to The Drum a year later.

He said: “It has been amazing to see this title develop into one that is read and enjoyed by the media and marketing industry around the world in recent years.

“I am lucky enough to work with an amazing team, within a company full of bright and enthusiastic individuals who love this business.”

Gordon is moving to the post of editor-in-chief of the nagazine, which also organises the annual Online Media Awards.
