Newsquest-owned titles nominated for 25 awards

Glasgow’s Herald & Times group leads the way in the nominations for the upcoming Scottish Press Awards.

A total of 25 entries from the Newsquest-owned group – which includes The Herald, Sunday Herald and Evening Times titles – have made the shortlist ahead of next month’s ceremony.

Meanwhile three journalists from the same daily newspaper will vie with two others for the Young Journalist of the Year accolade.

Bryan Copland, Darren Hamilton and William Yon, all of Dundee’s Evening Telegraph, are among the five nominees in the category.

The winners will be announced at the awards dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow, on 16 April.

    Good to see sport listed. Incredible that in rest of country some papers have no sports reporters or sports editors.
