Tories hire new regional press adviser

The Conservatives are continuing to build up their press operation in preparation for the next general election with the hire of a new regional press adviser.

David Kuczora joins the party from Clive Reeves Public Relations in the role of regional political press adviser for the West Midlands.

Formerly principal consultant at Clive Reeves, PR, Kuczora had helped his agency grow from billings of £50,000 to £300,000 in three years.

He was educated at Birmingham Conservatoire, and is a columnist for the Birmingham Post and Mail.

Said David: “Local, regional, and social media, will be the major key to communicating with the electorate over the next 12 months.

“The Conservatives are the only party with a long term economic plan for the country, and I look forward to setting out their vision for the UK over the next year.”

Prior to working for Clive Reeves, he was Senior Account Executive at Haslimann Taylor Public Relations.

He is co-founder of LGBT networking organisation Out of Office, and is also a visiting PR lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton and also at Manchester Metropolitan University.

His achievements include his work for British spy plane engine maker, Cubewano. After the US cancelled a major programme, Kuczora’s efforts to raise Cubewano’s profile secured a £2m investment offer and the firm a place on a Ministry of Defence pilot scheme for SMEs.
