Midland News Association, which includes flagship dailies the Express & Star, Wolverhampton, and the Shropshire Star in its portfolio, has appointed Andy Hill to the role of managing director of its digital division.

Andy, left, will take up his new post at the end of January after leaving his present job managing property website Zoopla’s marketing services division.    He previously worked for the Trader Media Group, publisher of Auto Trader, from 1996 until 2012.

The company says Andy will be responsible for managing the growth of revenues from MNA’s online platforms, along with the development of web solutions and the improvement of audience engagement.

Said Andy: “I am looking forward to the new role and am excited about the opportunity of joining the MNA.”

MNA managing director Phil Inman added: “I am delighted that Andy has chosen to join the MNA to lead the development of its digital platforms. His considerable experience in growing online revenues will ensure that we are best positioned to maximise the opportunities ahead of us.”
