Regional daily launches contest to win £30,000 minibus

A regional daily is giving local organisations the chance to win a new minibus worth £30,000.

The Bristol Post has launched the competition in partnership with local engineering firm Renishaw.

It is open to any not-for-profit community group within the Post’s circulation area, including schools, sport teams, youth clubs or singing groups.

Groups have to register and collect tokens which will appear in the paper over the coming weeks. For every 100 tokens collected they will receive one entry in a prize draw for the 14-seater minibus with the winner to be drawn at random.

Post editor Mike Norton said: “There are so many groups in the city which could benefit from this. We are expecting a huge number of entries.”

Chris Pockett, head of communications for Gloucestershire-based Renishaw said: “We are very pleased to support this initiative.

“We are connected to many schools and community groups in the Bristol area who tell us that a key challenge when arranging any activity is transport.”

The Ford Transit will come with parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity and a rear-view mirror camera as well as a 30,000 mile warranty.
