Publishing executive quits to ‘pursue dream’

Miller HoggA senior executive with regional publisher Archant has quit to “pursue his dream” of running his own business.

Miller Hogg, left, managing director of Archant East, will leave the company on 30 November.

In a statement Archant said he was resigning “to pursue his dream to do something new outside of the company.”

Archant chief executive, Jeff Henry, said: “Miller has had aspirations to work alongside his wife Carole in their own venture for some time. He recently approached me about his future indicating he felt the time was right to pursue his dream.”

The move means a comeback for former Archant Anglia MD Johnny Hustler, who is to return to run Archant East on an interim basis.

He will take over from 1 December until a permanent replacement is named.

Miller originally took over from Johnny in East Anglia in a restructure in October 2013. He was previously MD of the company’s Archant Lifestyle magazines division.

The Archant East division includes four regional dailies – the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich Evening News, Ipswich Star and East Anglian Daily Times.
