Funeral service for journalism student who died suddenly

A funeral service is to be held tomorrow for a 20-year-old journalism student who died suddenly earlier this month.

Tayla Woodword, left, who was studying multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University, died after collapsing at her boyfriend’s home in South London in the early hours of Sunday 9 March.

The couple had been to Brixton Academy the previous evening to see American punk band All Time Low perform.

After returning to her boyfriend’s home in Worcester Park, Tayla was taken ill at about 5am. She died in hospital at 6.22am that same day.

A funeral service will be held tomorrow at Egloshayle Parish Church in Tayla’s home town of Wadebridge, Cornwall.

Police says they are still investigating the circumstances of Tayla’s death but said it is being treated as non-suspicious.
