The deadline is looming for entries into a competition aimed at celebrating excellence in newspaper production.

The 2014 Newspaper Awards is dedicated to news media production across the UK and the deadline for entries is 24 January.

Categories include Regional Newspaper of the Year and Weekly Newspaper of the Year, as well as Regional Supplement/Magazine of the Year.
