There are just three days left to enter the new-look Wales Media Awards before this Friday’s deadline.

The free-to-enter awards were relaunched this year by the Journalists’ Charity after a break of several years to make up for the lack of official recognition for Welsh journalism in comparison to other areas of the UK.

The awards feature 19 different categories and entries can be submitted online up to 5pm on Friday. There is an extended deadline of up to 5pm on Friday 9 January 2015 for student entries only.

Judging will take place in the New Year and the awards will be presented at a celebration event at the Marriott Hotel Cardiff on 19 March 2015 hosted by Huw Edwards, president of the Journalists’ Charity in Wales.
