Welsh website is latest to unveil new look

A Trinity Mirror regional website has become the latest to announce a new design as part of a roll-out across the company.

WalesOnline, the online platform for the Western Mail, South Wales Echo and Wales on Sunday, unveiled its new look this morning.

The relaunched site will have a bigger typeface with the aim of making it easier to read, and will also place more emphasis on new and recently-updated stories and its photographs and videos.  Only those with a Facebook account will be able to post comments.

In a piece about the new site published earlier this week, WalesOnline editor Ceri Gould said: “In the next few days your WalesOnline will get a new look.

“The first thing you’ll notice is a new design. Cleaner, and less cluttered than before with a bigger typeface, it will be easier to read the best Welsh stories on the web.”

Other sites in the group which have relaunched include the Manchester Evening News, Birmingham Mail, Newcastle Evening Chronicle, Accrington Observer and the Rossendale Free Press.
