Two sister weekly newspapers are now sharing a website with a new name under the roll-out of revamped sites across Trinity Mirror’s regional titles.
The Buckinghamshire Advertiser and Buckinghamshire Examiner previously had their own newspaper-branded websites but a relaunch has seen both titles incorporated under the new GetBucks name.
The new website aims to be less cluttered, with a bigger typeface, new picture galleries and more emphasis on new and recently updated stories.
It also includes a new drop-down menu giving shortcuts to all sections and a “hot topic” line at the top of each page so users can see what subjects are trending.
In a story about the launch, the titles told readers: “The Buckinghamshire Advertiser’s and Examiner’s website is changing…and we’re also getting a new online name
“Called GetBucks, it will incorporate both newspapers and the first thing you’ll notice is a new design.”
Did a quick Google to find it – erm, GetBucks.com is “Quick fast cash loans online. Instant payday loans.”

Get Bucks just sounds like one of those cheap pawnbroker-type shops that litter the high street where you go to sell gold or old phones.
