Students to give views on training at annual meeting

An annual meeting which gives student journalists the chance to give their views on training will take place in London next month.

The sixth annual Student Forum run by the National Council for the Training of Journalists takes place on 8 February at MSN in London and will be attended by representatives from each accredited course.

At the meeting they will have opportunity to question a panel of editors about the skills and attributes needed to succeed the industry and will hear from recent graduates about their experiences of training and employment.

Student Forum members will also have chance to talk to senior NCTJ staff about key issues and present their views.

Some of the representatives will then be able to take these views to a meeting of the NCTJ board of directors in June.
