Regional publisher appoints new board member

Regional publisher Archant has appointed a new director to its board.

David Hill was appointed to become a non-executive director of the company, adding to his roles on a number of other boards and voluntary organisations in Norfolk.

He has been executive chairman of Jarrold & Sons Ltd since 2002, a company which provides retail, property and business services.

After training as a solicitor, David worked in the banking department of City law firm Norton Rose, before setting up an investment banking business advising European institutions and banks on cross-border financing structures where he remains a non-executive director.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Archant, a company I’ve admired for many years, particularly at this time of great change in the regional media. I look forward to getting to know the business better over the next few months.”

Archant chairman Richard Jewson said: “David brings a wealth of knowledge about many of the communities we serve. We are very pleased that he will be joining the board and we greatly look forward to benefiting from his insight and experience.”
