Regional daily offers chance to win share of £25k

A regional daily paper has launched its annual Wish Fund campaign offering community groups the chance to win a share of £25,000.

The Wish campaign, set up by the Daily Post in North Wales, follows the paper’s hugely successful 2012 giveaway in which schools, charities and non-profit organisations shared the cash to benefit people across the region.

Readers can now register on the Daily Post website and then collect tokens from the Trinity Mirror paper in the coming weeks – the more tokens they collect, the more money they will receive.

The size of the share depends on support the groups receive from readers, in the form of tokens printed in the paper.

Daily Post editor Alison Gow said: “We were delighted and honoured to help a wide range of groups last year across our region. And the enthusiasm with which readers embraced the token collecting was wonderful

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this chance for good causes to benefit in this way once again.

“Whether your group is looking for new equipment, trips away, or cash for your community centre, the Daily Post is here to help. Whatever’s on your Wish list, we can help it come true – and we’ll be dishing out your share of the cash in the New Year.”

Each group which registers for the Wish Fund campaign is guaranteed a share of the money. Any not-for-profit organisation which benefits people in North Wales is eligible to register for the campaign.
