Regional publisher Johnston Press has unveiled an updated version of its online business directory, Find it.

The directory, which is embedded in the websites of all JP newspaper titles, has now partnered with the Scoot network enabling it to reach an additional 4 million potential customers.

All listings on the Find it site will now also appear across the entire Scoot network which includes Touch Local, The Independent, The Sun and Ask Jeeves.

To accompany the partnership, the Find it website has undergone a series of changes which JP says will make it easier to bring businesses and consumers together.

The changes includee a more professional design, a simpler navigation system and more integrated social media links among other features.

Henry Faure Walker, digital and business development director at Johnston Press, said: “This new, more powerful online directory platform gives our business customers a simpler and more valuable advertising and leads generation solution.

“It’s a great market entry solution for local advertisers who want to expand their digital presence and generate additional business enquiries.

“There are so many great local businesses in the UK and Ireland, and we look forward to welcoming many of them to this powerful advertising network.”

The new Find it channels are hosted on JP’s local newspaper websites under the Directory tab, or via the Find it link on the newspapers’ mobile platforms.
