Publisher appoints new national sales force

A regional publisher has appointed Mediaforce to handle national advertising for part of its group.

The Romanes Media Group has transferred its national sales to Mediaforce for its Berkshire Media Group, whose titles include the Reading Chronicle and the Slough & South Bucks Observer.

The move comes after a review of national sales by Romanes Media Group managing director Graham Morrison, during which time Newsquest Media Sales handled the titles’ national advertising.

Graham said: “We are delighted to be working with Mediaforce. We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with them via our Scottish businesses and I am convinced that their marketing and digital expertise will give us an edge in this competitive market.

“I want to thank Chris White-Smith and his team at Newsquest for their support during last few months. This move does not reflect any dissatisfaction with their efforts and was purely a strategic decision to align our national representation following the more extensive consolidation of BMG within Romanes Media Group.”
