Public affairs journalism textbook launches third edition

The third edition of a book which guides aspiring and practising journalists about local and central government will be launched next month.

Essential Public Affairs for Journalists has been updated by James Morrison for a third edition to include the programmes of reform introduced by the coalition government since the 2010 election.

The book will be launched at a public affairs seminar held by the National Council for the Training of Journalists on 1 March in London and delegates attending will receive a complimentary copy of the book.

Some of the new features of the book include explanations of the major recent and ongoing political events including the Libor-fixing scandal, the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis, the 2012 budget, and the background to the Leveson Inquiry.

The book is available to pre-order now at a special price of £19.99 by visiting the NCTJ’s online shop here and for information on attending the seminar, click here.
