The best regional and local newspapers in the industry could be in with a chance of winning a top award.
The 2014 Newspaper Awards are dedicated to news media production and with 16 categories in total are designed to showcase the best in printed and digital media.
Entries are now open and categories include Regional Newspaper of the Year and Weekly Newspaper of the Year, as well as Regional Supplement/Magazine of the Year.
Awards director Gary Callum said: “Our new strapline – the best in print and digital news media production and innovation – makes it absolutely clear that our awards are the only ones which focus entirely on the production of both digital and printed news media products.
“In addition, our judges are on the look out for innovations which will drive the industry forward in a rapidly evolving market.”
