Institute wins bid to run EU journalism competition

The Chartered Institute of Journalists has won the contract to run a competition for broadcast journalism students marking the 40th anniversary of the UK joining the EU.

Organised by the European Parliament, the competition  is open to third year journalism students at university or college or those on a postgraduate diploma in journalism course.

Entrants will be asked to produce short video reports detailing the impact that the UK’s membership of the EU has had on any aspect of life in the areas in which they live of study.
