Trinity Mirror digital publishing director David Higgerson has joined the line-up of speakers for next month’s Society of Editors regional conference.

David will join Sarah Hartley of Talk About Local on the panel for a discussion about how publishers’ digital offerings are shaping up.

They join an impressive list of speakers including Local World boss Steve Auckland, PCC chairman Lord Hunt, Robin Burgess, chief Executive of CN Group and communities secretary Eric Pickles.

Current editors taking part will include Donald Martin (Sunday Post), Ed Asquit (Scarborough News), Malcolm Starbrook (East London Advertiser), Alun Thorne (Coventry Telegraph) and Dave Whaley (Oldham Evening Chronicle.)

The conference, at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in the West Midlands, is sponsored by HoldtheFront Page and Marriott Hotels.
