Former editor completes overnight charity walk

Former regional editor Neil Fowler has completed a 40-mile overnight charity walk in aid of two good causes.

Neil, who edited the Lincolnshire Echo, Derby Telegraph, Newcastle Journal and Western Mail, took part in the Round Rutland Plod on Saturday, completing the circuit in 17 and a half hours.

Afterwards he described himself as “pretty tired, a little sore at the end –  but alive!”

Neil has so far raised £1,270 in aid of two charities – the Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton, and Action Medical Research for Children.   He can be sponsored here.
