Tindle unveils new magazine acquisitions

Regional publisher Tindle Newspapers has again added to its growing portfolio by acquiring two local lifestyle magazines.

Life in Petersfield and Life in Haslemere have been published or the past ten years by an independent local publisher, Life Magazines Ltd.

Now they are joining the Tindle stable which includes the Petersfield Herald and the Haslemere Herald, the local weekly newspapers.

Tindle said the two titles has been acquired as part of its drive to increase the number of local community publications within the group.

Chairman Sir Ray Tindle said: “We are delighted to add these successful quality magazines to our family.”

Area managing director Karen Sheppard, who will run the magazines, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the new titles aboard and look forward to forging relations with new business people and the local communities Life Magazines serve.

“This new project complements our existing publications and enhances our plans for the future too.”

Tindle Newspapers has more than 200 local community newspapers and magazines in Southern England and Wales and claims to have launched 21 new titles snice the start of the recesssion.
