Regional daily uses graffiti to promote weekend edition

Streets have been graffitied with a regional daily’s logo to promote its new weekend edition.

The Post, Bristol, imprinted its image onto pavements using a cleaning process in high footfall areas close to retailers.

More than 1,500 sample copies of the newspaper and a special Weekend supplement were given away in target growth areas.

The new edition hit the streets for the first time last Friday and an extra 5,962 copies were sold across the course of the weekend.

Staff from the newspaper and friends also took to the streets via an open top bus, flying the flag and distributing copies.

The title became a five day publication in April when the Saturday edition was dropped.

The weekend edition now comes out each Friday but remains on sale until Sunday.
