Former JP sales director joins Northcliffe

A former newspaper sales director at Johnston Press has joined Northcliffe Media’s team in the South West.

Ken Sim, left, is a former director of newspaper sales and promotions who worked for Johnston Press South in Portsmouth, but will join Northcliffe’s South West Media Group as head of circulation on 12 November.

Northcliffe regional MD Blanche Sainsbury said: “He has vast experience in driving circulation, sourcing promotions, home delivery and free distribution. Ken also managed the biggest selling daily title in Johnston Press alongside a large group of weekly titles.

“He also has a strong knowledge of home delivery and subscription models. I am extremely pleased he has decided to join the team at SWMG.

“Ken will be concentrating on the Plymouth products in the first instance.”

I had the pleasure of working with Ken in a previous role; very strong knowledge of the newspaper business, Johnston Press’s loss is Northcliffe’s gain!

I worked with Ken when I was at The News – he’s a top bloke and knows the business inside out. Good luck, Ken. Enjoy the west country!
