New picture editor for PA ahead of Olympics

The Press Association has appointed a new picture editor as it prepares to take on the role of  host national news agency for the London 2012 Olympics

In her new role Milica Lamb will oversee and direct PA’s photographic output on a day-to-day basis, as well as around major events – including the Games.

A former head of PA Photos (now Press Association Images) for 12 years, Milica has also held senior roles at EPA, News Team International and Abaca USA, before returning to PA as Business Development Director for Press Association Images last year.

PA editor  Jonathan Grun asid:  “Milica’s combination of editorial and commercial experience make her ideally suited to the role of Picture Editor.  With the eyes of the world on London for the Olympics, this year is going to be both exciting and challenging and I have no doubt that Milica will be a great asset to our team.”

Milica added:  “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Picture Editor.  PA’s photographers are phenomenally talented and working with them on a daily basis is a real honour.

“With the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics coming up in the next few months, it’s a busy time at PA and I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the newsroom to provide the best multimedia coverage we can.”
