A popular journalism blog has been taken down after facing libel action from a PR agency representing pop star Tulisa Contostavlos.

Fleet Street Blues has gone offline  following an article about PR ethics in which it claimed the X-factor star’s PR firm had issued a statement denying she appeared in a sex tape circulated on the internet.

The agency, who had in fact issued a ‘no comment’ on the sex tape story, has since confirmed it is pursuing a case for defamation over the article.

Anyone trying to log onto the blog now gets a message saying the site does not exist.
