The former executive editor of a north-west weekly newspaper is to take on a new role as commercial partnerships editor with a media sales company.

Jane Clare, former executive editor of the Wirral News, joins the Amra team from Trinity Mirror Merseyside, where she has held several senior editorial posts.

Most recently she was head of production for the Liverpool Echo, the Liverpool Post, Wirral News, Southport Visitor and the Fromby Times.

Jane will work closely with the Amra commercial team to present innovative approaches to major clients. She will also be the key link with regional newsrooms in organising the successful execution of campaigns.

Amra’s managing director Gary McNish said Jane would bring huge amount of experience and a very strong all-round editorial pedigree to the role.
