Polish-language weekly loses nothing in translation

Does the UK’s Polish community have a stronger stomach for Anglo-Saxon slang than the rest of the populace – or was it just a gaffe?

Either way, the end result was the same:  hundreds of copies of a weekly newspaper for Polish migrants had to be taken off the shelves after shoppers complained about the expression staring at them from the newsstands.

It would be interesting to know what the story was in order to justify such a strongly-worded headline.

So if anyone knows a Polish translator, please drop us a line!

They must have a peculiarly partisan Polish subs table at the publication. That, or the more likely conclusion that it’s a huge cock up by the headline writer whose ‘doodling’ on screen has somehow managed to get into print!
It would be interesting to find out if there has been any kind of apology for the headline.
Had it happened in our group, the culprit would have found themselves well and truly f***ed.
