A former Shetland Islands newspaper journalist has gone on to become a magazine editor.
Tom Morton, former reporter and news editor for weekly title the Shetland Times, will take over as editor of Shetland Life.
Tom, who went on to become a Scottish radio broadcaster and has also written for The Scotsman will take over from Malarchy Tallack who is stepping down after five years.
The magazine, which is published by The Shetland Times Ltd, was launched in November 1980 by founding editor James R Nicolson.
Managing director of the company Brian Johnston said the company was delighted to welcome Tom on board and paid warm tribute to his predecessor.
