Journalist’s book reveals benefits of blogging

A former Scottish daily newspaper executive has written a book on her experiences of blogging.

Ellen Arnison, who used to be deputy night editor at the Scottish Daily Mirror has written  ‘Blogging for Happiness – A guide to improving positive mental health (and wealth) from your blog’.

In an interview with The Drum, Ellen said: “I began my blog when I started freelancing, just to see what it was all about. Since then it has helped just about every aspect of my life – from finding me work, to improving my mental health.”

She added: “The book is based around a mum-of-three’s experiences of writing a successful blog that has seen her go through post-natal depression, three bouts of intense grief and come out the other side smiling, still writing and making money.”

Blogging for Happiness is published by Nell James Publishers and costs £9.99 from Amazon.co.uk.
