Journalism training body launches mobile site

People considering studying journalism can now access careers advice on their phones following the launch of a mobile site by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

The training body says the site can be accessed by visiting www.nctj.mobi from any mobile phone or tablet and provides easy access to information about different journalism career paths and training options.

There are also details about the Journalism Diversity Fund that can help students from diverse backgrounds fund their training.

A spokesperson said: “The site was developed in response to the on-going expansion of mobile internet services and the fact that more and more people are using mobile devices in their daily lives for work or study.

“It is also not possible for everyone to access careers libraries and advisors and it can be difficult to source the information students require. ”

The NCTJ said it hopes that the mobile site will provide careers resources in this way will help ensure students get the information they need to make informed decisions.
