Harry Evans is an editor again at 82

Legendary editor and author Sir Harold Evans has been appointed as editor-at-large for global news agency Reuters at the age of 82.

Among his roles will be to host live discussion events featuring world leaders and also events showcasing Reuters  photojournalism.

Reuters editor-in-chief Stephen Adler said: “Harry is one of the greatest minds in journalism. He brings invaluable experience, innovative ideas, and access to the world’s most influential leaders.”

Sir Harold was editor of the Northern Echo in the 1960s before moving to the Sunday Times in 1967.  He has lived in America since 1984.
