The local and regional press is well represented in the shortlist for the annual Newspaper Awards.
Now in their 14th year, the scheme is the only industry awards that recognise excellence in news media production across both the regional and national media.
The Dorset Echo and Eastern Daily Press are among those nominated in the regional newspaper category while the Bath Chronicle and Cumberland News are shortlisted as best weekly newspaper.
The winners will be revealed at a gala dinner on 21 April at the London Hilton.
