Due credit for great work done.
Or ego massaging and boasting from companies who can’t even staff their papers properly.
The eternal awards debate.

There’s so little joy around in the industry, so why be down on this?
Your comment is as predictable as it is depresing.

Aga CEO. Or in an Aga maybe? By the way it is realword, although I understand your confusion and your were on the right track. It was orginally intended as a comment against the number of mistakes, including literals, in papers. (have you noticed them?) I have worked with some fantastic journos and subs in my 15 or so years in the job and not one of them ever entered an award or felt the need to. Some went on to nationals and I celebrated at their leaving parties. Whatever gets you through the night, as the song goes!
