Publisher launches management training service

A Scottish newspaper publisher has launched a new commercial service to help other companies develop the leadership skills of their staff.

The Scotsman Publications Ltd, part of Johnston Press, has teamed up with management training company gofastforward Ltd to launch the Accelerator Programme, a series of training modules on key management and leadership skills.

The £495 programme, which starts on 5 October, comprises eight 90-minute modules each focused on a key skill area ranging from team building and influencing to managing conflict.

It is designed as a motivating refresher for existing managers as well as an introduction for new managers.

Henry Faure Walker, general manager of The Scotsman Publications Ltd said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with gofastforward, a market leader in the delivery of management training.

“We know that in Scottish businesses and organisations, investing in people remains as important as ever, and The Accelerator Programme enables organisations to train their key staff in an extremely time effective and cost effective way.”
