Ex-daily editor to appear on political panel debate

A former regional press editor is to feature on the panel of a political debate event this week.

Marc Reeves, who launched his new business website venture yesterday after leaving the Birmingham Post at the end of last year, will join Andrew Mitchell, shadow secretary of state for international development, former home secretary and MP for Redditch Jacqui Smith and John Hemming, MP for Birmingham Yardley.

The panel will be chaired by Tory political blogger Iain Dale in front of an audience of local residents who will set the agenda for discussion.

The ‘Election Question Time Special’ has been organised by website totalpolitics.com and is being held on Thursday at 6.30pm at the City Inn Hotel, Brunswick Square, Birmingham.

Tickets are free and allocated on a first come, first served basis – for details and to reserve a place email [email protected].

  • Additional panel debates are being held in Manchester on 11 February, featuring Manchester Evening News chief reporter David Ottewell, Leeds on 18 February and London on 25 February.

I for one like to know everything he’s up to, whether it’s making a cup of tea or going to the toilet. Keep up the good work HTFP
