Winners' gallery from the EDF Energy Awards

The finest talent from local and regional press and broadcasting gathered in the capital yesterday to celebrate the annual EDF Energy London and South of England Media Awards 2009, run in association with HoldtheFrontPage.

Among the multiple award winners were the Southern Daily Echo, Southampton, Brighton daily The Argus and the Crawley News.

  • The awards were handed out by Tom James who won a gold medal at last summer’s Olympic Games in Beijing as part of the men’s coxless four.

    Tom was awarded an MBE in the 2009 New Year’s Honours list in recognition of his achievement. He was joined in the presentations by Martin Lawrence, managing director of energy sourcing and customer supply at EDF Energy.
