Telegraph takes trip back in time

The Grimsby Telegraph has taken a trawl through its archives for a free exhibition of its best front pages.

Called ‘Front Pages Through The Ages’, the displays will showcase all the big tales from the Lincolnshire town dating back to its first edition in 1897.

Among the splashes featured are those covering the Second World War, the East Coast Floods, a local big winner on the National Lottery and tragedies which hit the vitally important fishing fleets.

Deputy editor Michelle Hurst said: “This exhibition is a great way for everyone to look back at real historic moments through time, which have been recorded through the last century by the Grimsby Telegraph.”

The exhibition is on at the Cleethorpes Discovery Centre and runs until 14 July.
