New era for Echo as office move takes place

A new era begins today at the Lincolnshire Echo following the move to new offices in the city.

Staff at the Northcliffe-owned daily are spending their first day in the new premises at Witham Wharf after the long-planned move took place over the weekend.

Echo editor Jon Grubb said: “We are excited about moving and delighted that we will remain at the centre of this great city that we have served for more than 100 years.

“The new, modern offices will allow us to embrace the latest technology needed to provide an excellent service to readers of our printed products as well as our growing websites.”

Lincolnshire Media managing director Mark Price added: “Lincolnshire Media has always been at the forefront of new technology and developments in the media industry and the new offices give us an opportunity to build on that and continue moving forward.

“We were absolutely determined to remain right at the heart of Lincoln both psychologically and physically so we are delighted to remain close to the city centre and the busy Brayford Wharf area.”

Lincolnshire Media’s new postal address from today: Ground Floor, Witham Wharf, Brayford Wharf East, Lincoln, LN5 7AY.

Its former Brayford Wharf office that had been its home since 1984 is to become part of the University of Lincoln.
