Journalists invited to New Year reunion

Former journalists from a trio of Scottish newspapers are being invited to a reunion later this month.

Anyone who worked on the Edinburgh Evening News, The Scotsman or Scotland on Sunday during the 1990s is invited to take a trip down memory lane with old colleagues.

It is being organised by Victoria Masterson who worked a business correspondent on both the Evening News and The Scotsman.

She told HTFP that the turn of a new decade seemed the ideal time to get in touch with old colleagues.

It will run from 6pm on 20 January at the Jinglin’ Geordie pub, in Fleshmarket Close.

The venue is close the papers’ former offices on North Bridge, prior to the move down to Holyrood, and was a popular hang out for reporters.

The evening is not exclusively for former reporters so friends, non-journalists and social hangers on are also welcome to go along.

Anyone wishing to attend can simply turn up or email Victoria at [email protected] for more information.
