Daily Mail work-ex prize in journalist competition

A week at the Daily Mail and £500 cash are on offer in an annual journalism award aim at ethnic minorities.

The GG2 Leadership and Diversity Awards recognise achievement within ethnic minority communities with a wide range of awards to be presented on 15 September in London.

Last year the young journalist of the year prize went to Nafeesa Shan, from the Lancashire Telegraph, whose portfolio included an interview with Umar Shafiq, whose father Mohammed was murdered trying to defend him from bullies.

The awards are now in their 11th year and are organised by the Asian Media and Marketing Group.
