A south-coast daily is chronicling a year on its patch through the eyes of its readers.

Amateur photographers and readers of the Bournemouth-based Daily Echo have been uploading their images to the title’s Flickr group.

The project, called A Year in the Life, was started as a way of building a community with the Daily Echo’s readers.

“There are so many people out there on the patch using Flickr so it was a way of getting them to engage with us,” digital project co-ordinator Sam Shepherd told HTFP.

Sam has helpfully picked her favourites from each month so far this year which can be enjoyed below and visit the Daily Echo’s Flickr group to see hundreds more.
